Xiaomi Mi 5 To Be Released On October 19?
The Xiaomi Mi 5 has been rumored for quite some time now, although release dates have come and gone with no word on the device. A fresh revelation mentions that the handset will be officially uncovered on the 19th of October, which is in less than a week from now.
The company has scheduled an event in China on the aforementioned date, which could in all likelihood see the release of this device. However, the company might end up unveiling some other device, as has been the case over the past two months.
The manufacturer recently took the wraps off the Mi 4c, which is a budget device that is limited to China for now. But with the Mi 5, Xiaomi will look to take on industry rivals like OnePlus, Huawei and the likes.
The handset is expected to be packing a 5.2-inch Quad HD (2560x1440) display, a Mediatek Helio X20 processor, 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The Mi 4 from last year is yet to see a suitable successor although Xiaomi has released multiple variants of the device over the past few months.
